As the second day of community engagement meetings unfolds in Balaka, the Tikwaniritse ndi Kuteteza ma Ufulu a Ana – TiKuMA (Fulfill and Protect Children's Rights) Programme continues to garner widespread support and enthusiasm from various community structures.

Lilongwe, a capital city of about 1 million people, is one of the fastest-growing cities in sub Saharan Africa with more new virgin areas that were once communal settlements being opened up and developed into either industrial or residential areas beyond what was once the city’s boundaries.

Esther, an 8-year-old girl from Ntcheu district – central Malawi, was born without any hearing impairments. However, following a two-month-long illness, she tragically lost her ability to hear.
