COVID-19 RELIEF ITEMS AND BICYCLES DONATED TO MBELWA DISTRICT COUNCIL

As the battle to fight Coronavirus pandemic continues,  the organization has been broadening its support for its COVID-19 response through the engagement of different partners and donors. Through our partnership with World Bicycle Relief, 100 push bicycles were donated to Save the Children as a means of providing mobility solutions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 35 bicycles as well as COVID relief items like Protective personal equipment were donated to Mbelwa District council at a colorful momentous ceremony.

The bicycles were donated as a means of providing mobility solutions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to Health Surveillance Assistants and Child Protection workers. The bicycle will support the Health surveillance assistants in providing COVID-19 Messages and mobile health services on the door to door in the communities whilst the Child protection workers in providing psycho-social support, first aid, and GBV case management which have increased due to COVID-19 pandemic
